We encourage customers to follow the Missouri Department of Conservation's guidelines when stocking largemouth bass, bluegill sunfish and catfish. Recommended stocking rates are based on soil fertility and the lake's natural ability to produce food to sustain fish population.
"As a Rule of Thumb"
All counties north of the Missouri River, those counties located in the boot heel, and the following counties: St. Louis, Franklin, Saline, Pettis, Johnson, Lafayette, Jackson, Cass, Bates, Vernon, Barton and Jasper receive 100% or maximum stock rate.
The following counties have a 75% stocking rate option: Barry, Benton, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Cedar, Christian, Cole, Cooper, Dale, Dallas, Gasconade, Green, Henry, Hickory, Jefferson, Lawrence, McDonald, Moniteau, Newton, Osage, Perry, Polk, St. Clair, and Webster.
The following counties have a 50% stock rate: Bollinger, Camden, Carter, Crawford, Dent, Douglas, Howell, Iron, Laclede, Madison, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Pulaski, Reynolds, Rippley, St. Francois, St. Genevieve, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Washington, Wayne and Wright.
